Q.1. What is the memory of a computer?
Ans.1 A computer has a huge storage capacity.This storage capacity of a
computer is called its memory.
Q.2 How many types of memory are found in the computer?
Ans.2 Computer has two types of memory.
(ii) Secondary or External Memory.
Q.3 Define primary memory? Names its two types?
Ans.3 Primary memory is also known as the internal memory.it is the main memory of the computer system which is fixed on the mother board inside the CPU box.
PRIMARY MEMORY IS DIVIDED INTO TWO PARTS:
(i) RAM(Random Access Memory)
(ii) ROM(Read Only Memory)
Q.4 What is secondary Memory and Why is it used?
Ans.4 Primary can store limited amount of information even when electricity is turned on if we have to storage a large amount of information permanently, then we need Secondary storage device.
